  SGT. ELMER SCHMOYER
  
    Sgt. Elmer Schmoyer, 74, of 992 East Main St., Somerset, died Aug.
  23, 1981, at Somerset Community Hospital.
    He was born Feb. 18, 1907, in Creamery, Montgomery County, son of
  the late Samuel and Susan (Hallman) Schmoyer.
    He was preceded in death by an infant son, Frederick Philip; a
  sister, Margaret Staley; and a brother, Arthur.
    He is survived by widow, the former Mabel Jacobs; one brother,
  David of Verona; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was a retired Pennsylvania State Policeman with 31 years of
  service; retired employee of Rockwood Insurance Company; member of
  Somerset Lodge Number 358 F. & A.M. Williamsport Consistory; member
  of Central Pennsylvania Police Association; member of Tri-County
  Claims Association; director of Humane Society.
    Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where
  services were conducted.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. 
  Masonic burial rites were conducted at the funeral home.
