  Kathryn (Blough) Davidhizar-Schneider, 91, Country Manor, Jerome, formerly of
  Thomas Mills, and Elgin, Iowa, died Dec. 15, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center.
  Born May 10, 1914, in Hollsopple, daughter of John E. and Minnie M. (Thomas)
  Blough. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Joseph S. Davidhizar;
  second husband, LaVerne L. Schneider; daughter, Eunice Brenneman; and son,
  Warren. Survived by these children: Janice married to the Rev. Marvin Apple,
  Meyerstown; Elvin "Skip," married to Sharon Shaffer, Thomas Mills; Kitty
  Oviedo, Portland, Ore.; Carolyn, married to David Metzgar, Dakota, Minn.; and
  John, married to Cathy Pollock, Newport News, Va.; eight step children all of
  Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; several
  step great-grandchildren; sister, Rena, married to the Rev. Elvin Holsopple,
  Hollsopple; and former daughter-in-law, Joyce (Hershberger), married to Jack
  Horner, Conemaugh Township. She was a former cook for Jerome Elementary School.
  Member of Thomas Mennonite Church, Thomas Mills, and attended Elgin Apostolic
  Christian Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and painting with water
  colors and oil paints. Viewing from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home
  & Cremation Services, Davidsville, and from 10 until time of service at 11 a.m.
  Monday at Thomas Mennonite Church. The Rev. D. Wayne Lasure officiating.
  Interment church cemetery.
