Center Ave., Somerset died June 25, 1977 at 8:10 p.m. in Somerset Community Hospital. Born March 6, 1894 in Roscoe, a son of the late Nickolas and Hannah (Young) Schoch. Was retired from the Eastern Trucking Co. and was a veteran of World War I serving overseas as secretary to his captain in Co. L, 330th Infantry, 83rd Division. Member of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church, he was past master of Gummert Lodge, No. 252, F. and A.M., Fayette City; Royal Arch Chapter No. 290 of Monessen; American Legion Post No. 181 Somerset; VFW Post 554, Somerset; and a member of the World War I Barracks No. 3218-4. Survived by his wife, Anna (Frantz) Schoch, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Home Inc. Roscoe. Masonic services Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles K. Sowden, of the First United Methodist Church, Fredericktown.
