  ELIZABETH SCHRADEL
  
    Elizabeth P. Schradel, 82, of 131 Westview Dr., Barnesville, Ohio,
  died Friday, Nov. 21, 1997, at Barnesville Hospital. 
    She was born Aug. 10, 1914, in Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late
  John and Ella Hillegas of Meyersdale.
    Elizabeth "Betty" and her husband were employees of Meyersdale
  Manufacturing in the 1940s, and were pioneers in the introduction of
  the union in that establishment.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
  husband, Fred W. Schradel; a son, Donald Schradel; a brother, James
  Hillegas; and a sister, Miriam Knepper.
    Surviving are a son, John Schradel of Barnesville; two daughters:
  Marjorie Jones of Barnesville and Mrs. George (Karen) Finch of
  Thornville, Ohio; a brother, Herbert Hillegas of Bedford; two
  sisters: Madeline Shumaker and Ella Mae Spence, both of Meyersdale;
  eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. 
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Barnesville Memorial
  Hospital Building Fund.
