She was born Aug. 7, 1917, in Meyersdale, the daughter of the late James and Laura (Swearman) Martz. Preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Schradel in 1999 and brother, Jimmy. Survived by three daughters, Carol wife of James Gerhard, East Pittsburgh, Susan wife of John Diveley, Glen Allen, Va., and Barbara wife of Paul Wright of Salisbury; three grandchildren Michael Gerhard, Amy Klocke and Michelle Wright; one great-grandchild Tyler Klocke. Sister of Edna Younkin of Meyersdale. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale. Leda will be long remembered by her family and many friends for her quick smile and kind nature. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. The Rev. Gene J. Abel officiating. The committal service will be in the Union Cemetery. She was born August 7, 1917, in Meyersdale, the daughter of the late James and Laura (Swearman) Martz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Schradel in 1999, and a brother, Jimmy.
