SCHRAMM Mrs. Ida M. Schramm, for many years a resident of Salisbury, died at the home of her son, Paul Schramm, in Wilkinsburg, Pa., Thursday, Jan. 9, 1941, at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 18 days. Her death was caused by angina pectoris; but she had other ailments incident to old age, which caused her to rent her Salisbury residence during the latter part of last year and go to live with her son and family. Mrs. Schramm was the youngest child of Henry and Marie (Panett) Smouse, and was born and reared in Grantsville, Md. During her young womanhood she was united in marriage with the late George Schramm, of the same vicinity, and soon after their marriage they located in Salisbury, Pa., where her husband preceded her in death 33 years ago. Mrs. Schramm is survived by the following children: Lela, wife of Jonas S. Lichty, of Salisbury; Emma, wife of Earl Wagner; and Ethel, wife of Ralph Straub, both of Somerset; Maude, wife of Wilber Foster of Akron, Ohio; Paul, of Wilkinsburg; and Wilbur of Somerset. Her children were all in attendance at the funeral, which was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Lichty, in Salisbury, last Sunday at 2:30 P. M., conducted by Rev. S. D. Sigler, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, of which Mrs. Schramm was a devout and faithful member for many years. Her funeral was largely attended, and there were many beautiful floral tributes. Prior to the funeral, many friends and acquaintances also called at the Lichty home while the remains reposed there in state to tender their sympathy to the bereaved sons and daughters. Mortician Stanley M. Thomas brought the body from Wilkinsburg to his undertaking rooms in Salisbury, where it was embalmed, and at the conclusion of the obsequies, was interred in the I. O. O. F. cemetery under his direction. Meyersdale Republican, 16 January 1941
