Schramm, 83, of 715 Maryland Avenue, Cumberland, Md., died June 1, 1984, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home where he had been a resident for the past six months. Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late John and Matilda (Dersch) Schramm. His first wife, Dorothy (Watson) Schramm and his second wife, Alice V. (Brown) Schramm preceded him in death. He was a former employee of the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, retiring from its salvage department in 1966. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Betty Smith and Mrs. Jacquelyn Harris, both of Salisbury; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Dollie V. Malcolm, Long Beach, Calif.; one brother, Clyde Schramm, Cumberland, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Melda Wampler, Richmond, Ind.; three grandchildren, two of whom he raised, Mrs. Dorothy Burkhart, Mount Savage, and Robert J. Knight, Long Beach; and five great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Silcox-Merritt Funeral Residence where services were conducted with the Rev. Walter V. Roe, Jr., pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park. The Republic, June 7, 1984 [S0480]
