Carey Schrock, 79, Johnstown, died Nov. 1, 2006, in Johnstown. Born Oct. 25, 1927, in Somerset. Son of Clarence and Helen (Carey) Schrock. Preceded in death by parents and first wife, Shirley Griffith. Survived by wife, Nancy (Weider) Schrock; sons, Kevin, married to Shea (Hoover) Schrock and Andrew, married to Robin (Kuzmyak) Schrock, both of Johnstown; stepsons, Jeff, married to Karen (Coy) Mathias, Indianapolis; P.R. Mathias, Johnstown; grandchildren, Andrea Mathias and Zack Myers; brother, Joseph, married to Shirley Schrock, Somerset; sisters, Patricia Richard, Somerset; and Rebecca, married to James Roberts, Erie. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of Somerset High School and St. Vincent College. U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in Iwo Jima. Longtime member of the Johnstown Choraleers, Johnstown Symphony Chorus, American Legion and VFW. Member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Friends received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church.
