Schrock, 72, of Stoystown RD 1, died unexpectedly Nov. 10, 1981, at St. Josephis Hospital, Tucson, Ariz. Born March 2, 1909, in Jenner Township, Somerset County, daughter of James M. and Julia (Rauch) Mayse. Preceded in death by parents, and one infant sister. Survived by husband, John L. and these children: Jack M., married to the former Connie Rhodes, Latrobe RD; Velma Jean, wife of David Coleman, Greensburg RD; James L. (Joe), married to the former Lois Treachle, Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren. Sister of James R., married to former Ethel M. Spory, Boswell RD 2, Also survived by former daughter-in-law, Dorothy Walker, Somerset RD. Member of Mount Laurel United Church of Christ, Retired Teachers Association, Teachers Bridge Club for 47 years, Laurel Mountain Senior Citizens and Somerset County Historical Society. Received Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from former Indiana State Teachers College and masteris degree in special education from Penn State University. Retired teacher from the North Star School District, with 35 years service. Would have celebrated 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 1, 1982. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and until 9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell. Body will be removed to Mount Laurel Church near Gray to lie in state from 10 a.m. Monday until time of service at 11 a.m., the Rev. Joseph M. Beer officiating.
