Schrock, 93, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Charleroi, died Feb. 25, 2001 in the Life Center of Sarasota in Sarasota, Fla. He was born March 19, 1907 in Somerset, the son of the late A. Hilton and Sally Landis Schrock. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Pauline Pieper Schrock (7-23-85), two brothers Charles E. Schrock, John L. Schrock, two sisters Louise Yost and Helen Darr. Surviving are his wife Liliane Van Herzeele Schrock of Sarasota, Fla., a step-daughter Ginou Nirmaier of Bardenton, [sic]* Fla., two sisters, Mrs. Eva Mae McKenzie of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Louella Rininger of Somerset and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mr. Schrock was a W.W. II veteran serving in the U.S. Army with the Medical Corp (ETO) 194 General Hospital. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Charleroi and a life member of the F.& A.M. Lodge 615, Syria Temple of Pittsburgh, a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge 1030, the B.P.O.E. Lodge 494, a member and past president of the Kiwanis, V.F.W. Post 167 and the American Legion Post 22 all of Charleroi. Mr. Schrock was a retired funeral director and former president of the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor James M. Robbins officiating. Interment will be in the Monongahela Cemetery.
