    John L. Schrock, 73, Stoystown RD 1, died Jan. 21, 1982, at
  Memorial Southwest Hospital, Houston, Texas.
    He was born July 1, 1908, in Somerset, son of Hilton and Sally
  (Landis) Schrock.  He was preceded in death by parents; wife, former
  Emeline E. Mayse, died Nov. 10, 1981; sister, Louise Yost.
    He is survived by these children: Jack M., married to former Connie
  Rhodes, Latrobe RD; Velma Jean, wife of David Coleman, Greensburg RD;
  James L. (Joe), married to former Lois Treacle, Houston, Texas; seven
  grandchildren; also former daughter-in-law Dorothy Walker, of Somerset
  RD.  Brother of: Harold, Charleroi; Louella Rininger, Somerset; Eva
  Mae McKenzie, Pittsburgh; Charles E., Berlin; Helen Darr, Boswell RD2.
    He was a member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ and I.O.O.F.
  Lodge No. 438, Somerset; Republican committeeman for Jenner Township
  for many years; director for 15 years on North Star and former
  Jenner-Boswell Joint school boards; retired electrician and foreman
  for Pittsburgh Consolidated Coal Co.
    Friends were received at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St.,
  Boswell.
    Services were held at the Mt. Laurel Church, with the Rev. Joseph
  M. Beer officiating.  Interment, Christ Lutheran Cemetery,
  Jennerstown.
