Born March 14, 1904, in Rockwood. The daughter of the late Harry Smith and Mary Ellen (Bittner) Spangler Sr. Preceded in death by husband, John Weller Schrock, on Dec. 11, 1988; a son, John N. "Jack" Schrock; a brother, Harry S. Spangler Jr., and three sisters, Ruth Gnagey, Anna Mostoller and Betty "Peggy" Stutzman. Survived by daughter, Mrs. James G. (Nancy) Knepper Sr. of Somerset, and three grandchildren: Mrs. Charles (Kathryn) Mitchell and James G. Knepper Jr., both of Somerset, and John N. Schrock Jr. of Harrisburg; also six great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Florence Stein of Somerset, Mrs. Merle (Mildred) Miller of Johnstown, and Robert B. Spangler of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Retired co-owner with her husband of Schrock's Transfer and Storage. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Past president of the Somerset Welfare League. Past regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Patron of Somerset Garden Club. Friends received from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (today) at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr. officiating.
