The funeral service was conducted in the edifice of the Church of the Brethren at Rockwood at 2:30 p.m. by the pastor, Rev. Walter F. Berkebile. Interment followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in charge of Mills and Mickey, funeral directors of Rockwood. Mrs. Schrock, who until the demise of her husband about eight years ago, resided in Middlecreek Township, had lived in an alternating manner with her children, Elmer L. Schrock, W. Preston Schrock and Mrs. Simpson Shaffer, all of Rockwood, and C. Ross Schrock, of Milford Township. That was the case because of their nearness to the place of her birth and also to that of her connubial life. Other surviving children are: Mrs. Russell Hilliard and Miss Lillian Leora Schrock, both of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Wearing Gates, of Spokane, Washington. She also leaves these sisters: Mrs. Ida B. Kepner, of Scottdale; Mrs. Albert J. Faidley, of Rockwood, and Mrs. Berton Hager, of Niagara Falls, N.Y. One daughter, Miss Ida Bell Schrock, is deceased. Mrs. Schrock was a daughter of Jesse C. and Christina (Dull) Sweitzer, of Milford Township, who many years ago preceded her to the grave. She lacked but two days of attaining the Biblical allotted years of three-score and ten. Mrs. Schrock's goodness of heart as a wife, mother, neighbor and friend was proverbial. She was a lifelong, active and devoted communicant of the Church of the Brethren. Meyersdale Republican, May 12, 1932
