Born Sept. 15, 1893 in Spencer, N.C. Daughter of the late Oliver and Minnie (Causey) Puryear. Preceded in death by her husband, Guy Schrock Sr.; a son, Robert, and three brothers. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. James T. Betty Hatcher of Richmond, Va., and Dr. Laura Schrock of Laughlintown; two sons, Guy Schrock Jr. of Conneautville, and Carl W. Schrock, of Pittsburgh; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, Boswell. Graduate of Providence Hospital School of Nursing, in Washington, D.C. She was an avid homemaker and community worker. Private visitations and services will be held. Interment will be made in Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Windber Hospice, c/o Windber Hospital, Windber, Pa. 15963, or the Johnstown Chapter of the American Red Cross.
