SUSAN SCHROCK

  Mrs. Susan Schrock, 86, widow of Manassas M. Schrock, life long resident of 
Garrett County, died Jan. 9 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vernie Harvey, 
Miami, Fla., where she had made her winter home for the past ten years.
  She was born in Bittinger, Md., October 4, 1862, daughter of the late 
Christian and Mary (Beegly) Beachy.  She was the last member of a large family.
  Besides her daughter, one son, Albert Schrock, Cocoa, Fla., and two 
grandchildren, Henry Bell and Patsy Sue Harvey, survive.  Her husband died in 
1936.
  Mrs. Schrock conducted a guest summer home in Mt. Lake Park for 50 years until 
her retirement two years ago.
  Funeral services were held at the Leighton Funeral Home, Oakland, the 
following Wednesday afternoon.  The Rev. Emory Fike of Terra Alta, W.Va., 
officiated.  Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery.
  Mrs. Schrock was well known in the county, and often visited relatives and 
friends in Grantsville.
