Schrock, 73, of Rockwood, died Dec. 12, 1987, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born March 27, 1914, in Rockwood, a son of William Preston and Mary (Lenhart) Schrock. Survived by his wife, Mary (Burkett) Schrock of Rockwood; three sons, William, and Donald, both of Somerset; Leonard of Barberton, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Custer, Somerset; and Mrs. Virginia Eicher, Clinton, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Lena Halbrock, Somerset; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His death terminates a marriage union of 55 years. Preceded in death by parents and one brother, Oscar. Veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. Member of Masonic Lodge, Meyersdale #554, Scottish Rite of Harrisburg, Somerset VFW #554, Rockwood American Legion Post #279, Somerset Eagles, Carpenters Union Local 1419. Travelers Protective Association, and Rockwood Church of the Brethren. Graduate of Rockwood High School, Class of 1932. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jay Christner officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
