  JAMES M. SCHROYER
  
    James M. Schroyer, 83, Friendsville, Md., died Aug. 27, 1972 in
  Cuppett-Weeks Nursing Home, Oakland.
    Born in Friendsville, he was a son of the late John W. and Amanda
  (Sweitzer) Schroyer.  His wife, the former Amanda Root, preceded him
  in death.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Friendsville. 
    Surviving are four sons:  Charles O. Schroyer, Flintstone, Md.;
  James A. Schroyer, Crellin, Md.; Vincent W. Schroyer, Mountain Lake
  Park, Md.; and Douglas K. Schroyer, Willoughby Hills, Ohio; three
  daughters:  Mrs. Inez Metcalf, Harrisburg; Mrs. Vivian Grow,
  Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. Leatrice Menear, San Diego, Calif.; 15
  grandchildren; one great grandchild; also two brothers, Russell and
  Clayton Schroyer and two sisters, Mrs. Cora Resh, all of Accident
  Md.; and Miss Mae Schroyer, Friendsville.
    Funeral service was conducted Wednesday afternoon in Grace Lutheran
  Church, Friendsville, with Rev. William Carlson officiating. 
  Interment in Steele Cemetery, Friendsville.
