  SCHURG
  
    George E. Schurg, 37, Berlin, died Jan. 18, 1999 at home.  Born
  March 1, 1961 in Meyersdale, son of Richard W. and Rose M. (Housel)
  Schurg of Frostburg, Md.  Preceded in death by grandfathers: Ivan
  Wilt and George Housel.  Also survived by children: Richard E.,
  Melissa S., married to Shawn Fochtman and Robert R. all of Berlin. 
  Grandchildren: Jordan and Megan Fochtman.  Brother of: Connie,
  married to Ken Hutzell; and Julie, married to Ed Walker, both of
  Meyersdale; Ken Wilt, married to former Brenda Dever, and Mike Wilt,
  married to former Tonya Haer, both of Frostburg.  Stepbrother of Tina
  and Donald Schurg, both of Meyersdale; William F. Schurg and wife
  Carol, and Kim, married to Ralph Drew, both of Frostburg.  Also
  survived by grandmothers: Edna Wilt, Grantsville and Emma Hosel,
  Meyersdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was a construction
  worker and Staff Sergeant with the Pa. National Guard, Co. C.  Member
  of Meyersdale American Legion Post 112.  Family will receive friends
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin,
  and 11:30 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Thursday at Somerset National
  Guard Armory, Rev. Russell B. Kessler.  Interment, Berlin IOOF
  Cemetery.  Memorials may be sent to PA National Guard Armory, Co. C.,
  Stoystown Rd., Friedens, PA 15541 to be used to assist his children.
