Born Jan. 23, 1929, in Maple Ridge, a son of Joe and Wanda (Medej) Scislowicz. Preceded in death by parents, wife of 53 years Mary J. (Killian) Scislowicz; brothers, Walter, Stanley, Andy, Joseph, Matthew and John; and a sister, Helen. Ted was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survived by daughters, Elaine, wife of David Kendig, Virginia; Jean, wife of John Derenak, Gloria, wife of David Botteicher, and Diane LeFevre, all of Johnstown. Also survived by grandchildren, Ted and Sherry (Kendig) Lawson, Justin and Lauren Derenak, Tyson, Marcus and Tara Botteicher; and great-grandchildren, David, Cody and Alexis. Retired coal miner of Berwind White Coal Co. Ted enjoyed hunting and fishing. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
