  SCOGIN
  
    Geneva June Scogin, 82, Somerset, died Aug. 10, 1997 at Patriot
  Manor, Somerset.  Born April 12, 1915 in Chattanooga, Tenn.  Daughter
  of the late Frank Maynard and Sallie (Reagan) Lupher.  Also preceded
  in death by husband, Eugene Herman Scogin; two sisters, Thelma
  Smothermon and Elizabeth Arnold.  Survived by daughter, Mrs. Henry L.
  (Phyllis S.) Vogt, Somerset; grandchildren: Mrs. Ryan (Michele)
  Nelson, Ashville, N.C.; and Mrs. Shane (Alissa) Pope, Ashville,
  N.C.  Member of First Centenary United Methodist Church, Chattanooga,
  Tenn.  Friends received from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Chattanooga
  Funeral Home West, Chattanooga, Tenn., where services will be
  conducted at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. David Harr officiating.
  Interment, Forrest Hills Cemetery.  Local arrangements by
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.
