Scott, 95, of Connellsville, died Oct. 27, 1988 in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown. Born Aug. 28, 1893 in Somerset County, daughter of the late Daniel and Carrie (Fisher) Long. Former school teacher in Somerset county and was a retired sales person for the Troutman Company of Connellsville. Member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Trinity Lutheran Church of Connellsville. Surviving are two sons: Ray E. Scott of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Harold D. of Minneapolis, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Virginia) Poiser of Connellsville; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Scott; and a daughter, Dr. Wilma (Scott) Heide; also five brothers. Friends will be received at the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Green St., Connellsville, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Herb Dubler officiating. Interment will be in Green Ridge Memorial Park. Daily American, October 28, 1988 [S646]
