ROSE SCOTT

  Miss Rose Scott, 42, died at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 19, in the Hazel 
McGilvery Hospital following a surgical operation.
  Born on Oct. 21, 1903, in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of William and Cassie 
(Allen) Scott.  Her mother died some time ago.  Surviving are her father and one 
sister, Florence, at home, and two brothers, James, of Cleveland, Ohio, and 
William, of Washington, D.C.  Miss Scott taught school in Wilmington, N.C., for 
many years.  
  Funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Scott home, 613 North 
St., with Rev. Price of Uniontown officiating.  Burial was made in the Union 
Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price & Son.  Out of town visitors 
attending the funeral were from Washington, D.C., Wilmington, N.C., Atlantic 
City, N.J., Pittsburgh and Uniontown.
