Sebold Sr., 72, of Boonsboro, died Dec. 18, 1987, in Washington, DC. Born May 13, 1915, at Hoyes, Md., he was a son of the late George and Lavina (McGettigan) Sebold. He was graduated from Accident High School, and moved to Washington area in 1936, first working for J.I. Marriott. He served as a civilian coordinator for the Pentagon during World War II and was also employed as an insurance broker for Johnson and Adams. He was also involved in redeveloping property on Capitol Hill. Mr. Sebold established a family farm in Boonsboro in 1972. He is survived by his former wife, Irene H. Sebold; one son, Randall E. Sebold Jr., Columbia Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Ramona L. Kaplon, Florida; one brother, Hubert Sebold, Cromwell, Conn.; five sisters, Mrs. Olia Howard, Tallmadge, Ohio; Mrs. Marie Deefe, Arlington, Va.; Mrs. Irene Foff, Mrs. Annabelle Broadwater and Mrs. Helen Rose, all of Baltimore Md.; and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Grantsville, with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.
