Secary, 72, of Boswell RD, died March 10, 2001 at home. Born July 7, 1928 in Carpenters Park, Somerset County, son of Mario "Mike" and Theresa (Krotosky) Secary. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, James and Donald. Survived by wife, the former Nancy Lee Horne; children, Joanne Carol, wife of Barry G. Wright, Windber; Louis Richard married to Dianne M. Carrigan, Stevensville, Md., and Jean Ann, wife of Charles C. Garretson, Boswell RD; grandchildren Steven Secary, married to Margaret Ashworth, Miami Beach Fla., Rebecca Garretson, engaged to Jeffrey Perigo and Aaron Garretson, both of Boswell RD, Olivia Wright, Windber, and Holly Secary, Stevensville, Md.; sister Eleanor Horvath, Tire Hill; brother Ronald, Windber; and brother-in-law Harry R. Horne, Jennerstown. Attended Conemaugh Area High School, Davidsville (Class of 1946). Was an Army veteran of World War II. A retired coal mine inspection supervisor for the former Federal Bureau of Mines and prior to his federal employment, worked in all aspects of the mining industry since his early youth. Member of the American Federation of Government Employees. No visitation or viewing at Lou's request. Following cremation, a private memorial service will be held at the convience [sic] of the family.
