Born March 31, 1916 in Garrett. A daughter of the late John and Ida (Fisher) Marker. Also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Sechler; brother Wilmer Marker Sr. and four sisters: Elsie Brant, Orpha Brant, Margaret Benford and Mary Ankeny. Survived by two sons, Blain L. Sechler, married to the former Ann Griffith, Meyersdale; and Wayne Sechler, married to the former Shirley Leister, Garrett. Eight grandchildren: Bonnie Foxwell, Rick Sechler, Terry Sechler, Janet Arnold, Jeff Sechler, Sherri Marker, Scott Sechler and Mark Sechler. Also 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A sister of Jennie Poorbaugh, Garrett. Attended Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Boynton. Bessie and her husband Elmer owned and operated Sechler Motor Company in Meyersdale from 1934 to 1979. She loved to hunt and go fishing with her family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Thomas Twigg officiating.
