Born October 25, 1933 in Garrett, a son of the late Elmer and Bessie (Marker) Sechler. Also preceded in death by his father-in-law Martin Griffith, and mother-in-law Gladys Griffith. Survived by his wife, Ann (Griffith) Sechler, formerly of Boswell. Blaine and Ann were married on June 6, 1953. Survived by three children: Bonnie, wife of Gary Foxwell, Meyersdale; Rick Sechler, and his wife Audrey (Deist), Meyersdale; and Terry Sechler, and his wife Terri (May), Bedford. Also survived by these grandchildren: Corey Sechler, and his wife Jessica, Greenville; Julie (Sechler), wife of Jason Huston, Meyersdale; Christopher and Bradley Sechler, Bedford; Natalie Foxwell, and her fiance' Michael Mackey, Bridgeville; Jamie Sechler, Milford, DE; and Timothy Foxwell, Meyersdale. Also three great grandchildren: Elijah and Gracyn Sechler, of Greenville; and Keegan Huston, of Meyersdale. A brother of Wayne Sechler, and his wife Shirley, of Garrett; and their children: Janet Arnold, Jeff Sechler, Sherrie Marker, Mark Sechler, and Scott Sechler. Blaine attended Meyersdale High School and Minot N.W. Bible College in Minot, ND. He was a member of RMEF, NWTF, and NRA. He founded, owned and operated the Laurel Sport Shop in Meyersdale and Bedford, and the Sechler Fashion Galaxy in Meyersdale until his retirement. Friends were received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home in Meyersdale, where service was conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, with the Rev. Thomas Twigg officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Garrett. Arrangements by the William Rowe Price Funeral Home, Inc., Meyersdale.
