Sechler, 82, of Markleton RD 1, died March 10, 1976, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 4, 1893, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son of the late Joshua and Emily (Meyers) Sechler. Survived by his wife, the former Alice White, and the following children: Richard and Mrs. Elva Wilson, both of Markleton RD 1; Leonard of Indiana, Pa.; and Guy, Somerset RD 1; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one brother, John M., Fort Hill; and a sister, Mrs. Lucy Snyder, Stoystown. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. He was a member of the Kingwood I.O.O.F., and was a forest fire warden for the Markleton district for 50 years. Friends are being received after 7 p.m. today at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Edd Meyers officiating.
