Sechler, 85, of Garrett, formerly of Kantner, died Sept. 11, 1983, in Kantner. He was born Aug. 27, 1898, in Garrett, son of John and Anna (Warner) Sechler. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, the former Grace Weaver; son, Arthur; two infant children; one brother and one sister. He is survived by these daughters: Florence, married to Eugene Saly; and Mrs. Robert (Edna) Boyer, both of Kantner; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren. He is survived by brother, William, of Cairnbrook; and half-sister, Bertha, of Somerset. He resided with Selina Hoyman, of Garrett. He was the retired owner of Sechler Auto Wreckers. Life-time member of Quemahoning Rod and Gun Club; member of the Berlin Sportsmen's Club, and the Kettle Creek Sportsmen's Club of Potter County. Friends were received at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services were conducted with the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn officiating. Interment, Garrett Cemetery.
