Sechler, 70, of Somerset RD 7, died August 1, 1977 at the Somerset Community Hospital. He was a son of the late Calvin Sechler and Bertha (Faidley) Sechler of Somerset RD 7. Born Sept. 13, 1906, in St. Paul, Pa., he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret in 1966, one grandson and one great-grandson. He is survived by his mother and the following children: Mrs. Ray (Maxine) Leventry of Stoystown RD 1, Edgar, Ronald, and James of Somerset RD 7, Calvin of Niles, Ohio, Mrs. Ronald (Jane) Cilli of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. James (Kay) Heist of Lee Hall, Va., Mrs. John (Wilma) Mostoller of Friedens RD 1, 23 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Mrs. Wilbert Brant, Friedens RD 1, Mrs. Jacob Lichty of Somerset, Miss Pauline Sechler of Somerset RD 7, Mrs. Clarence McVicker of Stoystown RD 2 and Mrs. Catherine Winters of Somerset. He was an Elder in the Mount Tabor Church, and a retired PennDOT employe [sic]. Friends are being received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Sautter and the Rev. Jeffrey Welsh officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
