Sechler, 50, of Somerset, passed on May 18, 2002, at Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown. Born Aug. 12, 1951, in Somerset, as son of Edgar and Hazel (Glessner) Sechler of Somerset. Survived by his parents, wife of 28 years, Wynne (Goden) Sechler, daughters Melanie, married to Michael Downing of Oil City, Amy, married to Adam, Zuccolotto of Harrisburg, and Mitzi of Somerset, and granddaughter Samantha Downing. He was the brother of Mrs. Brian (Nancy) Aultz of Somerset and Eric, married to Charlene Sechler of Somerset. He was a 1969 graduate of Somerset Area High School and a 1974 graduate of Fairmont St. University in W.Va. He was general manager of the Somerset County Office of the State Dept. of Welfare with 25 years of service. He was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Somerset. He was also a member of the Stoystown American Legion, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1801 in Somerset and the New Baltimore Sportsmen's Club. He was the owner of the Extra Inning Sports Card Shop. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rev. Glenn Sadler officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
