JOHN SECHLER

  John Sechler, 81, a life-long resident of Garrett, died at 5:10 o'clock 
Tuesday morning in Community Hospital in Somerset after an extended illness.  He 
had been a hospital patient for the past six weeks.  His wife, Mrs. Anna 
(Parker) Sechler, passed away 21 years ago.
  Surviving are these children: Elmer and John Sechler, both of Kantner, and 
Mrs. Ernest Welant, Garrett.  Nineteen grandchildren also survive.
  Funeral services were conducted at 10 o'clock Thursday morning in the Church 
of the Brethren at Garrett.  Interment was in the Garrett Cemetery under the 
direction of John H. Blanset, Stoystown mortician.
