Sechler, 77, Markleton RD 1, died Jan. 8, 1994, at Patriot Manor, Somerset. Born Sept. 25, 1916, in Markleton, son of the late Charles E. and Alice White Sechler. Survived by his wife, the former Felicia Butler; two daughters, Colleen Younkin of Markleton and Arlene Maroney of Wilmington, N.C. and a son, Donald of Markleton; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother, Guy Sechler of Somerset. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard, and a sister, Elva Wilson. He was a retired school bus driver for Rockwood Area School District and a former employee of Rockwood Hardware. Veteran of World War II. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. A member of Ursina American Legion Post 946 and Meyersdale DAV Post 127; also a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Friends received from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. John Snyder and Rev. James Monticue officiating.
