  MARY ELLEN SECREST
  
    Mary Ellen Secrest, 70, of Meyersdale, died Aug. 20, 1996, at her
  home.
    Secrest was born Oct. 24, 1925, in Boynton.  She was the daughter
  of the late Alex and Nora (Bittner) Thompson.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
  husband, Karl W. Secrest; and four brothers.
    She is survived by a daughter, Alexis Ann Secrest, Meyersdale; a
  granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Secrest, Meyersdale RD 1; and a sister,
  Beulah A. Ray, Meyersdale RD 1.
    Secrest was a member of the Amity United Church of Christ in
  Meyersdale.  She was also a member of the VFW and American Legion
  auxiliaries.
    Friends were scheduled to be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Aug. 21
  at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where a service was scheduled
  for 2 p.m. Aug. 22.  Pastor Bruce Ashlock will officiate.  Interment,
  Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
