She was born in Grantsville, Md., and was a daughter of the late Perry and Amy (Bittinger) Bowser. She graduated from Normal School in Oakland, Md., and taught in five grade schools for nine years. She was a member of the Easton Church of the Brethren, church secretary for a number of years, and adult Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Talbot County Homemakers Club. She is survived by four children: a son, Ford Secrist, Easton; three daughters, Leila Sanger and Nyda Cober, both of Easton; and Amy Seymour, Fairfax, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Cora (Bowser) Caporossi, Cumberland; and Mrs. Winnie (Bowser) Gibbs, Tuscarawas, Ohio; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Friends were received in the Newman Funeral Home, Easton. Services were held in the Church of the Brethren, Easton, with Rev. Wendall Flory officiating.
