Seese, 93, Windber, died April 22, 1996, at the Church of the Brethren Home, Scalp Level. Born Feb. 3, 1903, in Paint Township, son of Henry and Susan (Berkebile) Seese. Preceded in death by parents; wife, former Averil Walker, who died Aug. 20, 1988; son, the Rev. Fred Seese, and 11 brothers and sisters. Survived by daughter, Marjorie, wife of Theodore O'Dell, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Barbara, wife of Dean Shetler, Sacramento, Calif., and daughter-in-law, Jerry, widow of Fred Seese, Somerset; also 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Member of Windber Church of the Brethren. Brethren minister for Brotherton and Shade Creek-Ridge Church of the Brethren, where he served as elder and deacon for many years. Also served as pastor for Roxbury Church of Christ. Former owner and operator of Berkey-Seese Grocery Store, Jerome. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Windber Church of the Brethren, the Revs. Royden Airesman, Brian Simmons, and David Shetler. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Windber Church of the Brethren, with Revs. Warren Lewis and Brian Simmons and David Shetler officiating. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery.
