Seese, manager of the Hooversville Supply Company's store at Wilbur, died of a complication of diseases Sunday, April 5, at her home in Hooversville, after an illness of one week. Mrs. Seese was a daughter of Robert A. and Edith (Downs) Maurer, of Stoyestown, and was educated in the public school at Kantner. She was graduated from the California, Pa., Teachers' College with the class of 1920. Subsequent to her graduation she was engaged as a teacher in the schools at Cairnbrook and Vintondale. On August 20, 1923, she was married to George Q. Seese, of Windber, who with three children, Doris, aged seven years; George, Jr., aged four years, and Eleanor, aged two years, survives her. She also is survived by her parents, above mentioned, together with two sisters, Dora M. Maurer, a registered nurse of Johnstown, and Anna May Maurer, a teacher at Kantner, and one brother, Robert Harold Maurer, at home. Funeral services were conducted at the Berkey Church of the Brethren, near Windber, Tuesday morning, at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. Lewis F. Foltz, pastor of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, of Stoyestown, of which she had been a life- long member, officiated, assisted by Rev. John F. Graham, pastor of the Berkey Church of the Brethren. Interment in the Berkey Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, April 16, 1931
