SEGGIE Word was received here Wednesday morning that James Seggie, son of Edward and Amanda (Collins) Seggie, died at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday night, July 9, in a Frostburg hospital. Death was attributed to yellow fever. James was born in Meyersdale on May 12, 1919, and was aged 27 years at the time of his death. In 1940 he was married to Ida DiMario of Frostburg, where they made their home. He entered the service of his country during peacetime conscription, in October 1940, and served for four years, three of which he spent in England as an air base mechanic. He was honorably discharged from the Army Dec. 15, 1945, and returned to Frostburg where he was employed. James was an amiable, happy young man who went through life with a smile, and will be greatly missed by a wide circle of friends. He was preceded to the grave by his mother, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Seggie, his father, Edward Seggie of Meyersdale, a sister, Nancy C., of Connellsville, and a brother, William, present address unknown. He was a cousin of James Seggie, who passed away in Akron, Ohio, and was buried in Meyersdale today (Thursday). Meyersdale Republican, July 11, 1946
