Somerset Herald: The citizens of Confluence were horrified Tuesday morning, on learning that one of the young men of the village - F. W. Seibert - had been found dead in his father's barn. He had been drinking freely with some companions until late Monday night, and when very much intoxicated was carried to the barn, where he was left lying under a tattered roof, through which the heavy rain of the night poured in torrents over his unconscious body. The exact hour and immediate cause of his death are known. The father is both blind and deaf, and the young man was the principal support of the family. He bore a good reputation among the people of Confluence, and rarely drank to excess. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa. Thursday, February 19, 1891
