(Fats) Seiler, Sr., 69, of 714 Lincoln Street, was dead on arrival Thursday, December 6, 1984 at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland Maryland. Born in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late William Seiler, and Bertha L. (Smith) Seiler. He had served in the Pacific theater with the Army in World War II. He was a retired employee in the spinning department of the Celanese Fibers Corporation with 43 years of service and was also a former partner in operating the Paint Information Center on Mechanic Street. He was a member of Kinsley United Methodist Church; a charter member of the Outdoor Club of Cumberland; a member of Cumberland Aerie 245; Fraternal Order of Eagles; Fort Cumberland Post 13, American Legion; Henry Hart Post 1411, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Cumberland Lodge 271, Loyal Order of Moose. He was married previously to the late Mrs. Helen Seiler. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Betty Jane (Carithers) Means Seiler; one son, William H. Seiler Jr., Columbia; one daughter, Mrs. Sally Kadock, Pompano Beach, Fla.; one stepson, Gerald L. Brockey, Cumberland; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sally Pinter, Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Carl Seiler, Morgantown W.Va.; a sister, Mrs. Dolly Trent, Friedens.
