     Alverta Jane Sembower, 75, Somerset, died July 5, 2006, at Manor Care Nursing Home,
  Monroeville. Born July 11, 1930, in Somerset, the daughter of Ralph Zimmerman Bowers and
  Eva Marie Harkcom. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Harry Earl "Nook" Sembower, who
  died May 6, 1996; infant daughter, Wendy Jane Sembower; brother, John Bowers; and
  stepfather, Robert Koontz. Survived by children, Mrs. Terry (Wanda) Kuehn, Monroeville,
  and Brian Sembower, married to the former Heidi Bowers, Somerset. Grandchildren, Darren
  Kuehn and wife Heather, North Huntingdon; Mrs. Michael (Kelly) Steivason, Apollo; Shane
  Kuehn and fiancˇ Kaitlin, Monroeville; and Hannah Sembower, Somerset. Also survived by a
  brother and sister, Ralph Wilbur Bowers and wife Janet, Listie, and Mrs. James (LaVonne)
  Bankoske, Powell, Ohio. A 1948 graduate of Somerset High School. Was a member of Somerset
  Church of the Brethren, 50 year member of OES 138, and past member of Friedens Mothers
  Club. She had worked as a receptionist for Rockwood Insurance, retiring in 1995 with 29
  years of service. Known by all she worked with as "The Voice of Rockwood Insurance."
  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Mark Bendes
  and the Rev. Roger Forry officiating. Interment at Rockwood IOOF Cemetery. Contributions
