Born in Lopez on March 16, 1894, he was a son of Jonas and Emma (Sanders) Setzer. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Alice Wilburn. A Coudersport resident for 53 years, Mr. Setzer was a retired employe [sic] of the Damascus Tanning company. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of Potter Post 192, American Legion. Surviving are ten sons, Harold of LaVale, Md.; Melvin, Harry Jr., Clarence and Kenneth, all of Coudersport; Lawrence of North Collins, N. Y.; Clifford and William, both of Lawrenceville; Robert of Elma, N. Y.; and David of Colton, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Anna) Wahl of Meyersdale; Mrs. Mildred Hargenrader, Titusville; Mrs. Lloyd (Sylvia) Haskins and Mrs. Arthur (Inez) Nelson, both of Coudersport; also 50 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. Funeral service from Grabe-Fickinger Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon was in charge of Rev. Kenneth E. Lewis, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church. Interment was in Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport, where the flag was presented by Potter Post 192, American Legion. Meyersdale Republican, December 6, 1973 [S0809]
