  SEVERE
  
  Herbert G. Severe, 80, of Fairhope, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1988, at
  the Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  He was born in West
  Virginia, Nov. 16, 1908, a son of Mrs. Goldie Suder.  He was a former
  employee of the Pennsylvania State Highway Department and had retired
  as the custodian at the Bishop Walsh High School, Cumberland.  He had
  attended the Fairhope Community Church.  Preceded in death by his
  wife, Grace (Thomas) Severe.  Surviving are one son, George I. Ernst
  of Stoystown; and two grandchildren.  Services will be conducted at
  the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, Friday at 1 p.m. with
  the Rev. Daniel Leister officiating.  Interment at Comps Cemetery. 
  Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday, 7-9 p.m., and
  Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
