Severts, 93, of Rockwood, died Sept. 4, 1999, at Siemons Lakeview Manor Estate. Born June 16, 1906, in Somerset Township, the daughter of the late Charles F. and Ella (Bowser) Custer. Also preceded in death by husband, Gordon L. Severts, sister Ethel Baldwin, brothers Luther, Earl and James Custer, three infant brothers and an infant sister. Survived by sisters, Evelyn C. Farling of Somerset and Violet C. Wright of Homer City, also numerous nieces and nephews. Attended Calvary United Methodist Church. A private in World War II, serving as a supply clerk for the 591st Army Air Force Base Unit. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Raymond Lyon officiating. Interment in St. John's Cemetery.
