Full military honors followed in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Mr. Sevits, widower of Nannie Mae Sevits, died Wednesday, February 2, 2005. Born in Somerset, he was the son of the late Earl McKinley, Sr. and Twila Burkett Sevits. Mr. Sevits had retired from the United States Air Force and had served during World War II and the Korean Conflict war. Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law: Twila and Gary Poorbaugh of Swansea, S.C.; Carol and Charles Luers of Batesville, Ind.; sister, Ina Mae McKinzie of Mentor, Ohio; brother, Tom Sevits of Mentor; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Sevits was predeceased by a son, Bill Sevits; sisters, Betty Hooper and Phylis Leyden.
