  SEVITS
  
  Mrs. Kathryn B. (Katie) Sevits, 85, of West Haven Nursing Home,
  Apollo, Pa., formerly of Somerset, died Oct. 16, 1982, in Allegheny
  Valley General Hospital, Natrona Heights, Pa.  Born Nov. 22, 1896, in
  Stonycreek Township, daughter of the late William and Anna (Schrock)
  Platt.  Preceded in death by her husband, J. Webster; an infant son,
  Roy E.; a daughter, Ruth; and the following brothers and sisters:
  Sadie Walker; Galen, Samuel and Jacob Platt; and Linnie Rhodamer. 
  Survived by two daughters: Mrs. Clarence (Phyllis) Russell, Dearfield
  Beach, Fla.; Mrs. John (Mereda) Bowman, Monroeville, Pa.; four
  grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was a member of the
  Brotherton Church of the Brethren.  Friends were received Sunday, and
  will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Wilbur D.
  Miller Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at
  2:30 p.m. at the Brotherton Church of the Brethren, where remains wil
  [sic] lie in state one hour prior to services, with the Rev. Harold V.
  Seese officiating.  Interment, church cemetery.
