Seymour, 80, 1275 Norton Ave., Barberton, Ohio, formerly of Stoystown RD 3 died July 6, 1977. He was born in Pavia in Bedford County July 29, 1896, son of John and Margaret (Gardner) Seymour. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie (Imler) Seymour in February 1973; an infant daughter Charlene; a step-daughter, Mrs. Crystal Wertz; two sisters, Della Seymour and Mrs. Clara Walters; and two brothers Irvin and William Seymour. He is survived by five children: Edwin Seymour, Norton, Ohio; Mrs. Francis (Margaret) Case, Somerset; Harvey R. Seymour, Barberton, Ohio; Charles O. Seymour, Norton, Ohio; and Mrs. John (Mary Ellen) Stevens, Canal Fulton, Ohio; 25 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters; Mrs. Olive Defibaugh, Stoystown RD 2, Mrs. Minnie Fleck and Mrs. Nora Walters, both of Claysburg; Mrs. Agnes Manges, New Paris; and Miss Violet Seymour, Johnstown; and two brothers; John Seymour, Girard, Ohio; and James Seymour, New Paris. He was a resident of Barberton, Ohio, for 22 years. He was a member of the Community Baptist Church and a veteran of WW I. He worked at Diamond Match Company and Furrs Motel. Funeral services were held July 9 at 10 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman Funeral Home, the Rev. Arthur C. Bloom, officiating. Interment, Greenlawn Memorial Park. Daily American, July 12, 1977 [S0824]
