(Al) Sferro, 62, Champion and Swissvale, Pa., died March 1, 1985. Born Feb. 5, 1923, at Blairsville, son of late Pete and Belandia (Deluca) Sferro. Former ski instructor at Seven Springs and member of Ski Patrol. Survived by wife, Melody (Hensel) Sferro; two sons: Richard and Larry, both at home; three brothers: Reno, Cleveland, Ohio; and Paul and Lundy, both of Blairsville; five sisters: Mary Sandy, Sipesville; Rose Gasbarro, Columbus, Ohio; Florence Barcarro, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Delores George, Baden, Pa.; and Margaret Mehallo, Shaker Heights, Ohio. Friends will be received at Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711 at Melcroft, from 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Raymond's Roman Catholic Church, Donegal, with the Rev. Francis Ott as celebrant. Interment, Bryerly-Freeman Cemetery.
