  SHAFER
  
  Louther N. Shafer, 74, of Laughlintown, died Dec. 15, 1980, in the
  Latrobe Area Hospital due to an auto accident.  Born Nov. 25, 1906,
  in Ligonier Township, son of the late Fred N. and Margaret (Louther)
  Shafer.  Member of the Lebanon Church; F and AM 331.  Survived by
  wife, Margaret Shafer; three children: Evonne Ficher, Southampton,
  Pa.; Lewis K. Shafer, Somerset; Margaret Lynn Brown, Boston, Mass.;
  four step-children: Lloyd Lam, Kansas City, Kan.; Janet Menoher and
  Mary Giesey, both of Ligonier Township; David Lam, Sligo, Pa.  Also
  survived by one brother, Frederick Guy Shafer of Laughlintown; 23
  grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.  Family will receive friends
  at the Owen Wolford Funeral Home, 144 E. Main St., Ligonier, from 6 to
  9 p.m. Wednesday.  Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral
  home Thursday at 10 a.m., the Rev. Howard Smith in charge.  Private
  interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.  F and AM funeral
  service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
