  SHAFER
  
  Mack W. Shafer, 77, East Patriot Street, Somerset, died Sept. 11,
  1988, at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 10, 1911, in
  Jefferson Township, son of the late Harvey D. and Nanna (Brown)
  Shafer.  Preceded in death by parents and one sister, Ruby E.
  Shafer.  Survived by two sisters: Marian V. Shafer and Maude F.
  Shafer, both of Somerset.  Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren,
  retired school teacher having taught 40 years in Lincoln Township,
  Somerset Area School District.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Tuesday (today) at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where
  service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Roger L.
  Forry officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. 
  Memorial contributions may be given to the Somerset Church of the
  Brethren.
