  SHAFER
  
    Marian V. Shafer, 86, of East Patriot Street, Somerset, died April
  14, 1996, at Somerset Hospital.  Born Dec. 14, 1909, in Jefferson
  Township, Somerset County, daughter of late Harvey D. and Nanna
  (Brown) Shafer.  Preceded in death by parents; sister, Ruby E.
  Shafer, and brother, Mack W. Shaffer.  Survived by sister, Maude F.
  Shafer, Somerset.  Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren, where
  she taught Sunday School for 40 years.  Retired school teacher,
  having taught 35 years in Somerset Area School District.  No
  visitation.  Graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday
  at Somerset County Memorial Park, Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating. 
  Arrangements in the charge of Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.  In
  lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Somerset Church of the
  Brethren.
